On September 22, US President Donald Trump made remarks to the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly.
“As we pursue this bright future, we must hold accountable the nation which unleashed this plague onto the world: China, ” Trump remarks, “The United Nations must hold China accountable for their actions.”
What does this mean? Can this be accomplished?
For what actions Communist China under the CCP leadership must be held accountable? For over 70 years, the CCP has enslaved the Chinese people, denied them from free speech and basic human rights, and shut their mouths with censorship and the notorious Great Firewall.
Its actions or crimes include but are not limited to the following:
- The CCP created the coronavirus and intentionally released it to the world, causing about one million deaths and close to 30 million infected.
- The CCP headed by Xi Jinping covered up the truth of coronavirus and spread disinformation to do more harm to the world community.
- The CCP carried out brutal crackdowns on freedom and democracy in Hong Kong and turned the international financial hub into a city of failure.
- The CCP put over one million Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang re-education camps, persecuted Tibet Buddhists and forced half a million Tibetans into labor camps, cracked down religious activities and exercised cultural genocide in minority areas.
- The CCP cracked down on Falungong and carried out widespread live-organ harvestings.
- The CCP carried out its Belt and Road Initiative for economic and military expansion through debt-trap diplomacy for global dominance.
- The CCP exercised its BGY schemes and 3F plan to weaken America, take down America and kill Americans.
- The CCP cooperated with dictators and supported terrorists to bring about more conflicts in the Middle East.
- The CCP militarized the South China Sea and threatened its neighboring countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
- The CCP brought corruption to all major international organizations including WHO, WTO, and has them under its control.
With all its vicious actions, the CCP shall be designated as a terrorist organization and Communist China under CCP is not a legitimate government to represent 1.4 billion Chinese.
Who can represent China? Go ask the 1.3 billion mainland Chinese; go ask 50 million overseas Chinese; go ask 23 million Taiwanese.
Then what can the United Nations and General Secretary António Guterres do to hold China accountable?
For one thing, the UN shall strip China of its membership with the 15-member Security Council.
For immediate action, the UN shall issue a statement to hold China accountable for the coronavirus and request an independent inquiry into the origin of the virus.
We know that the UN has been a running dog of the Communist Regime as it has been corrupt, ineffective, and biased.
As President Trump has reminded all UN members in his speech, the UN has failed to hold true to its principles of advancing peace and security, human rights, and sustainable development.
“Seventy-five years after the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations, we are once again engaged in a great global struggle.” This means the UN has not made the world safer and more secure.
“The Chinese government and the World Health Organization — which is virtually controlled by China — falsely declared that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission.” This means the UN and its executive office have failed to protect the health of the world population.
While the Trump administration “is advancing religious liberty, opportunity for women, the decriminalization of homosexuality, combatting human trafficking, and protecting unborn children,” the UN has failed in all these obligations in protecting human rights.
“This month, we achieved a peace deal between Serbia and Kosovo. We reached a landmark breakthrough with two peace deals in the Middle East, after decades of no progress. Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain all signed a historic peace agreement in the White House, with many other Middle Eastern countries to come. They are coming fast, and they know it’s great for them and it’s great for the world.”
When the United States is making peace in the Middle East and other parts of the world, the UN has failed in its obligations to maintain international peace and security.
“If the United Nations is to be an effective organization, it must focus on the real problems of the world. This includes terrorism, the oppression of women, forced labor, drug trafficking, human and sex trafficking, religious persecution, and the ethnic cleansing of religious minorities,” Trump said.
Xi Jinping and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had a videoconference on Wednesday after Trump’s speech.
In this interaction, President Xi said China firmly supports the key leadership of the UN system, especially the World Health Organization, in battling the pandemic.
In the world, there is only one system, namely the UN-centered international system, and only one set of rules — the basic norms of international relations based on the UN Charter, Xi said.
Since its birth, the CCP has been crafty and very successful in propaganda. Shamelessly, Xi said that “China never pursues ideological confrontation, advocates ‘decoupling’ or seeks hegemony,” when the Trump administration is taking actions to “decouple” after a full understanding of the vicious nature and the real face of the CCP.
But these words of Xi must have greatly warmed the heart of his running dog – Antonio Guterres.
During the videoconference, according to Xinhua, Guterres expressed his gratitude over China’s consistent and firm support for multilateralism and the UN.
“Guterres highly commended a series of important initiatives and measures Xi announced at the UN General Assembly in spheres of practicing multilateralism, coping with climate change and promoting sustainable development,” Xinhua said.
Guterres also expressed his support for China’s efforts to push for jointly building a Silk Road of Green Development.
Does anyone think that Guterres would take any actions to hold China accountable? Never.
The United Nations is dead today. This is a difficult world.
If the UN is not going to hold China accountable, the UN is taking the side of a dictatorship and a terrorist organization, there is no need for the UN to exist any longer.
President Trump said these words strongly and directly, “The United Nations must hold China accountable for their actions.”
This is not a request from the President. This is a warning to the UN.
But sadly to say, Trump talks more than taking actions himself; and Trump won’t have many supporters on that stage. I hope this time he will change.
After UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres decried the lack of international co-operation in tackling the still “out-of-control” coronavirus amid sharp exchanges at the end of a virtual meeting, Kelly Craft, US ambassador to the United Nations, slammed the General Assembly.
“Shame on each of you. I am astonished and disgusted by the content of today’s discussion,” Craft said. She said other representatives were “squandering this opportunity for political purposes”.
“President Trump has made it very clear: We will do whatever is right, even if it’s unpopular, because, let me tell you what, this is not a popularity contest,” Craft said.
