The world should look to Malaysia and ask why Mahathir just bans foreigners from buying Forest City apartments there

Malaysia will not allow foreigners to buy residential units in the US$100-billion Forest City project in its southern state of Johor bordering Singapore, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said on Monday.

Last week, on his official visit to China, Mahathir made it clear he canceled the China-financed $20 billion East Coast Rail Link and two gas pipeline projects in Malacca and Sabah because Malaysia could not afford them.

“We do not want a situation where there is a new version of colonialism happening because poor countries are unable to compete with rich countries,” Mr. Mahathir said last week at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing after meeting with Premier Li Keqiang.

“I believe that China will look sympathetically towards the problems that we have to resolve and perhaps helping us to resolve some of our internal fiscal problems.” He added.

Mr Mahathir had vowed repeatedly before his China visit to discuss what he called “unfair” Chinese infrastructure deals authorised by former Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Mr Najib courted Chinese investment and was a cheerleader for President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative in South-East Asia during his decade-long rule. On 3 July 2018, Najib was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The US Department of Justice has accused Mr. Najib and his family of plundering billions of dollars from that fund, 1Malaysia Development Berhad, or 1MDB.

On 21 September 2015, the New York Times reported that US investigators were investigating allegations of corruption involving Najib as well as people close to him. The US Treasury Department considers that associate, Jho Low, an exiled financier who has an arrest warrant out on him, to be the prime agent in the 1MDB scandal.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) claimed in its suits that the businessperson was involved in multiple instances where 1MDB funds were allegedly misused, over US$4.5 billion alleged to have been misappropriated.

Jho Low is also accused of having used 1MDB funds to purchase the super-yacht Equanimity; jewellery for model Miranda Kerr and also a US$27.3 million pink diamond necklace for the wife of Najib Razak.

The Wall Street Journal reported last Friday that Malaysia believed Mr Low was being harboured in China and that a request to extradite him would be high on Mr Mahathir’s agenda during his five-day trip.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Malaysian authorities believe Low is being given refuge in China where he is living as a free man.

“Mr Low then began moving between hotel suites and luxury apartments in Chinese cities, including Hong Kong and Shanghai with his wife, two young children and close associates,” the report said.

The WSJ previously claimed Low had a central role in the two Suria Strategic Energy Resources Sdn Bhd (SSER) gas pipeline projects which are believed to have been used to launder funds to bailout 1MDB.

Chinese exiled billionaire Miles Kwok (or Guo Wengui) has used Twitter and YouTube to expose the corruption of high level Chinese officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including their illegitimate children. He believes that Jho Low is a son of Meng Jianzhu, the former CCP Politics and Law Committee Secretary.

Miles Kwok mentioned that Meng Jiangzhu had been helping Jiang Mianheng, son of former General Secretary of the CCP Jiang Zemin, to undergo kidney transplant procedures several times, and that the organs were all obtained from murdering people.

On September 6, 2017, Miles Kwok revealed information that the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines aircraft MH370 was a case of “political murder,” and that aboard the flight were officials of the CCP involved in the live kidney transplants for Jiang Mianheng.

On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing suddenly disappeared in Vietnam airspace one hour after taking off. All the 239 people onboard were presumably killed.

This crime, if probed deeper, involved high-level infighting between CCP officials, and at the same time, proved that the insider information provided by Miles, who had once worked for the CCP National Security, can be substantiated and is valid.

“When Mr. Jiang Mianheng underwent his handful of kidney transplants from 2004 to 2008 in a hospital in Nanjing, it was all organized behind-the-scenes, a secret selection of people and kidneys, it was all undertaken by Meng Jianzhu and Shanghai Politics and Law Committee leaders and a few military leaders working together,” said Miles Kwok in the video that was made in his Manhattan apartment.

According to Miles Kwok, CCP and its top leaders has a secret plan “Ship Sinking” to make themselves survive a regime collapse, and Malaysia is one of their overseas bases for refuge. That’s why they are building the Forest City and other huge infrastructure projects there.

“These Chinese players build by the thousands at one go, and they scare the hell out of everybody,” said Siva Shanker, head of investments at Axis-REIT Managers Bhd. and a former president of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents. “God only knows who is going to buy all these units, and when it’s completed, the bigger question is, who is going to stay in them?” A Bloomberg report stated.

Miles said these apartments are mostly for a million Chinese to be migrated to Malaysia, including many secret agents and even armed forces.

No wonder that the $100-billion Forest City project by the developer Country Garden Holdings Co has been planned to be home to 700,000 people. Now Country Garden has developed just a fraction of the planned reclamation of 20 sq km (8 sq miles), where Chinese nationals accounted for about 70 percent of apartment buyers last year.

This makes people to better understand the following statement in the New York Times:

“When the indebted fund began a fire sale of assets, two Chinese state-owned giants, the China General Nuclear Power Corporation and the China Railway Engineering Corporation, moved in, prompting speculation that Beijing was happy to keep Mr. Najib’s cash-strapped government afloat.”

Miles Kwok said these Chinese owned companies, under the pressure of the Jiang family, are helping Jho Low to keep the money safe.

According to Reuters, more than any other project, Forest City helped turn local sentiment against Chinese cash, amid suspicions that a private Chinese property developer was somehow secretly plotting to reshape Malaysia’s delicate ethnic balance.

Forest City is not a strategic play by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army to station warships in Malaysia. Nor is it viewed as a way for Beijing to finance the excesses of a corrupt leader. Instead, it represents something even more alarming to the average Malaysian — four man-made islands on which Chinese can live as they like and, in the process, dilute the Malaysian national identity.

“This is not Chinese investment but a settlement,” Mr. Mahathir said during the election campaign, using Forest City as a frequent punching bag.

Miles Kwok revealed that the CCP had planted its agents in major government departments of Malaysia by way of corruption and Secretary Meng Jianzhu pledged that “we have 100% control of Malaysia”. Miles said after Mahathir’s visit to China and decision to cancel other projects, the CCP already has a plan to assassinate Mahathir, only letting the world know that he dies of old age.

Now we can understand better why Mahathir has taken the above actions to save his country and his own life.
