On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin and the Vatican Foreign Affairs Minister Archbishop Paul Gallagher at a symposium to “advance and defend international religious freedom through diplomacy.”
In his speech “Moral Witness and Religious Freedom”, Pompeo once again took on the Chinese Communist Party of its religious violations after recalling the harm done to the Jews by the Nazis.
“Nowhere, however – nowhere is religious freedom under assault more than it is inside of China today. That’s because, as with all communist regimes, the Chinese Communist Party deems itself the ultimate moral authority,” said Pompeo.
Pompeo told about the crimes of the CCP regime, “An increasingly repressive CCP, frightened by its own lack of democratic legitimacy, works day and night to snuff out the lamp of freedom, especially religious freedom, on a horrifying scale.”
“I spoke on this topic last year for a bit, and I paid special attention last year to the Uyghur Muslims of Xinjiang,” Pompeo continued. “But they’re not the only victims. The Chinese Communist Party has battered every religious community in China: Protestant house churches, Tibetan Buddhists, Falun Gong devotees, and more.”
Having no care for the suppressed Catholic brothers and sisters in China, the Vatican is having a deal with the Chinese Communist dictatorship and keeping it a secret!
Jesus told his disciples: “Nothing is hid that shall not be made manifest, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come to light.”
Pope Francis reportedly declined to meet Mike Pompeo during his visit this week citing the closeness of the US election. But the move was also likely to be linked to Pompeo’s recent attacks on the Vatican’s perceived soft-pedalling on China’s human rights record as the two sides prepare to extend a historic agreement signed two years ago, according to the Guardian.
Pope Francis reportedly also declined to meet Cardinal Zen of Hong Kong, the outspoken critic of the Chinese Communist Party. Instead, the Pope might have a private meeting with Cardinal George Pell, a criminal who returns to Rome after acquittal on sex abuse charges.
This is the reality of today’s corrupt, rotten and decaying Vatican from its heart. Let me cite two paragraphs from a New York Post article on October 23, 2019.
Reports have emerged detailing the movement of Vatican money through slush funds across Europe — and a Vatican investment of more than $250 million into luxury London apartments, brokered through a financier who profited even while the Vatican’s investment tanked.
Italian media also report that Vatican officials contemplated investing hundreds of millions in Angolan oil fields — money that comes mostly from an annual collection intended to support papal charities. Per the Italian reports, prosecutors have also found evidence of embezzlement, fraud, abuse of office and money-laundering among the Vatican’s upper echelon of managers.
For years, the Communist regime in China has been demolishing churches and temples, burning the Bibble, suppressing and jailing practitioners, in addition to other violations.
The Vatican has kept a blind eye on the violations while it received a huge sum of money from the CCP dictatorship to maintain its lavish and licentious lifestyle, according to former White House Strategist Steve Bannon.
As a Catholic, Yore is particularly appalled by the September 2018 agreement signed by the Vatican and China, the first public agreement between the two since the CCP took over China in 1949.
Yore said that “the agreement is a catastrophe not only for the Catholics but for all religions.”
While China made itself a signatory to the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in 1992, the CCP has nonetheless enacted laws to prohibit any child or teenager under 18 from attending or participating in religious services of any faith, even those most closely identified with Asia, Yore pointed out.
Today, the Holy See is no longer holy. It has betrayed the will of God and lost its vision. This corrupt and rotten bureaucracy deserves no honor but hell.
When the Pope stands to speak to his audience from that little white window of his office, he is not only insulting the Catholic church, but he is insulting humanity as a whole.
