Italy is now the European epicenter for the novel coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China. The death toll climbed to seven in Italy on Monday.
It was a dramatic weekend for coronavirus cases in Italy. On Friday morning, there were only three confirmed cases. By Monday, more than 215 had been confirmed and a seventh person had died. According to The Washington Post, cases of the coronavirus are rising, nearly every hour.
Italy at risk! In northern Italy, authorities sealed off the worst-affected towns and banned public gatherings across a wide area, halting the carnival in Venice, where there were two cases. Shops are shut, bars are closed and people speak to each other from a safe distance, according to Reuters.
The outbreak is centered on clusters of small towns in the wealthy regions of Lombardy and Veneto, but in an effort to contain the virus, officials have imposed emergency measures across the area, including Italy’s financial capital, Milan.
Schools and universities were told to close until the end of the month, museums and cinemas were shuttered, major sporting events were postponed and Milan’s famous La Scala opera house was forced to cancel performances.
“Soldiers patrolled piazzas in Milan, and Venice shut down its iconic carnival three days early as Italy tightened restrictions on large public gatherings that could fan the spread of the virus. Police roadblocks have been set up to stop people entering or leaving about a dozen towns.” Local media further reported.
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has banned people from leaving infected areas, and police have been ordered to fine anyone caught entering or leaving certain towns. It is a national challenge for Italy.
Whole Europe is in kind of panic now. “Protecting our citizens is the main priority,” said Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety. “We are all taking this situation seriously, but without giving in to panic, disorder or disinformation.”
“We are following the situation in Italy very closely and commend the Italian authorities for their swift and efficient action,” Kyriakides said.
The outbreak is not there yet, said the damned Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general of the World Health Organization, made corrupt by the Chinese Communist Party.
“For the moment, we are not witnessing the uncontained global spread of this virus, and we are not witnessing large-scale, severe disease or death,” Tedros said Monday. “Does this virus have pandemic potential? Absolutely. Are we there yet? From our assessment, not yet.”
Corrupt Tedros said a WHO team that spent time in China has determined the outbreak there peaked in late January and early February and has been in decline since.
Stocks fell sharply on Monday as the number of coronavirus cases outside China surged, stoking fears of a prolonged global economic slowdown from the virus spreading, according to CNBC.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 1,031.61 points lower, or 3.56%, at 27,960.80. The S&P 500 slid 3.35% to 3,225.89 while the Nasdaq Composite closed 3.71% lower at 9,221.28. It was the Dow’s biggest point and percentage-point drop since February 2018.
CCP killer Guo Wengui said who ever is too close to the Chinese Communist Party must end up in disasters.
For years, the Italian government has been endorsing the CCP’s Belt and Road Initiative, regardless of the potential risks posed to security and humanity, even after repeated warnings from the U.S. government.
When the most part of the EU is taking tougher stance against Communist China’s military, technical and cultural expansion, Rome is trying to favor Beijing and balance the relationship with the dictatorship for economic gains.
We don’t say there is a direct connection between the coronavirus spread and those relations, but God is watching: if you have acted against the law of the universe, bad things must follow.
Curtis Ellis, policy director with America First Policies, said with American Thought Leaders that what the world has to deal with is the Chinese Communist Party itself who has caused all these problems.
The CCP is doomed. And we truly hope for the best well-being of the Italian people in fighting this deadly disease. And we want the world to know that only by eliminating the evil CCP leadership can the world be saved from this disaster.
Everything is just beginning.
