China’s infamous ‘batwoman’ coronavirus scientist Shi Zhengli has denied she has defected from the Communist regime in China.
Rumors have spread across social media over the past 48 hours claiming Shi Zhengli and her family escaped from China, bringing hundreds of confidential documents to the U.S. embassy in Paris.
However, Shi, a renowned researcher of bat coronaviruses, wrote on WeChat, a Chinese messaging service, on Saturday that she and her family had not fled the country, and she had no intention to do so.
This message was reposted by The Global Times, a mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party.
Shi said: ‘Everything is all right for my family and me, dear friends!’ She also posted nine photos of her recent life.
‘No matter how difficult things are, it (defecting) shall never happen. We’ve done nothing wrong. With strong belief in science, we will see the day when the clouds disperse and the sun shines.’
Shi is a renowned virologist, internationally known for her work with bat coronaviruses at her lab at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). The spotlight has fallen on Shi amid concerns that the virus had originated from the Wuhan lab where she worked.
When alarmed health care workers sent samples of what appeared to be a new virus to China’s “batwoman” for urgent testing late last year, the renowned virologist admitted she was skeptical.
“Drop whatever you are doing and deal with it now,” health authorities told Shi Zhengli, an expert on coronaviruses in bats at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
“I wondered if [the municipal health authority] got it wrong,” said the scientist. “I had never expected this kind of thing to happen in Wuhan, in central China.”
For years, the bats Shi had studied in her fieldwork were plucked from caves in China’s fetid, subtropical regions in the south, not in the colder parts of the country, she told she told Scientific American in an interview first published in March.
But health officials were very worried about the samples they sent on Dec. 30, 2019, to her lab. They showed a new coronavirus that had led to atypical pneumonia in two Wuhan patients.
CCP killer Guo Wengui said in his latest live broadcast on May 3rd that Shi Zhengli is not the key figure in this coronavirus outbreak. He said in the coming days Ludepress will tell more about the defectors to Europe.
Guo has also urged people to pay close attention to another P3 lab in Hong Kong in respect of coronavirus secrets and CCP’s crimes there.
Guo said, “Now I want to talk about the P3 laboratory in Hong Kong. I know Margaret Chan and Dr. pong are listening to me right now. And people from all the health security system in China, and people from the Wuhan coronavirus emergency center, as well as the Special Squad Team against our Expose Revolution. I know you are listening to my broadcast here. I am telling you formally that many people in the world do not know that the P3 lab in Hong Kong is the most sophisticated lab in the world in the study of coronavirus. Strictly speaking, it is the Top 1 lab; or moderately speaking, Top 3, the highest level of international standard coronavirus pathogen lab.”
“Everyone needs to understand this concept, many of our warrior friends have no clue of what this means. What is a P3 or P4 lab? It was approved by the world’s WHO, officially recognized and subject to WHO supervision. Its leading agency is the WHO. It monitors infectious diseases in a certain area, epidemics, or the overall balance of biological development, or the prevention of biochemical weapons. This is an official agency of the United Nations. Its father, its ancestor, its boss is called the WHO. Who is the former Director-General of WHO? Margaret Chan. And now Secretary Tedros.”
“Don’t forget these two people: Margaret and Tedros! And Dr. Pong who is now leading the P3 lab in Hong Kong. And M…totally four people. They are all key members of the International Communist League. They have one common enemy: The United States of America.”
